Dear Friends,
 It is with humility and much reflection that I have decided to run for office again.  I am ready to serve in the Republican majority and keep the promise to pass state budgets without tax increases.  I reject the liberal status quo endorsed by my opponent.  The Republican majority is departing from the business-as-usual, tax-and-spend mentality, and I will contribute to the strength of their voice and efforts.  

I believe in a North Carolina where economic opportunities are expanded and personal freedoms are protected.  To rebuild our economy we must prioritize and control state spending, not raise taxes.  We must continue to reduce costs and regulation on business, large and small, so that they can create jobs and prosperity for all North Carolina citizens. 

For these reasons, I will win in 2012, but I cannot do it alone.  Campaigns require copious amounts of time and money, and I am depending on my family, friends, and supporters to get us off to a strong start in 2012. 

I look forward to working with you toward victory in the coming months.
